Acids and Bases
Acid can mean a lot of things !Such as the smoke when somone is cooking, or some pyshicall acid, or in a pH scale the defintion acid would reffer to a compound that produces ions "Hydrogen" when dissovled. Bases mean s compound that produces hydroxide (O+H) ions when dissovled in water. Some may wonder...What makes one acid stonger than another acid? Well the answer to that question is the more ions of hydron the liquid contains, the stonger acid it is. Futhermore, its the same thing with bases. The more hydroxide ions there is inside a liquid the stronger base.
Now I hope the next time you hear the two words "Acids, and Bases" you will know the excat defition to tell the person!
